Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Treated with Acupuncture

UTI or urinary bladder infection is common among women. The symptoms can include pain during urination, frequent urination, persistent urge to urinate, a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying, bladder spasms, fatigue, fever or chills, cramping, vaginal irritation, pain in the lower abdomen or back, blood in urine, strong smelling urine, dark or cloudy urine.

A new female patient came to our clinic with urinary bladder infection. She had a history of repeated UTI’s. She had been on a course of antibiotics that did not alleviate the problem. She was given a series of acupuncture treatments and a course of Chinese herbal medicine based on her individual Chinese pulse diagnosis. She was also suffering from sciatica pain that radiated down her right leg.

Below is a copy of the Urine DR test after her acupuncture treatments. It was previously 10+ before the patient started treatment at our clinic in Minneapolis.  All readings are Nil/Negative, except for Leukocytes which has come down to only 1/HPF.

If you suffer from a UTI or urinary bladder infection and live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Twin Cities area call our Edina Clinic at 952-831-8080 or fill out our contact page.
